Google recognizes customers prefer an authentic experience on your website. Visitors to your website want to see how your business is unique from your competitors and better suited for their needs.
In the past, SEO experts preached the importance of creating unique content for your website. Unique content is valued by Google and your customers that are looking to differentiate you from your competitors. Starting this year AI technology will be judging the visuals on your website, including photos and videos for originality to help define your search positioning. Stock photography is not original content and could lower the positioning of your website in search results.
80% of the internet is expected to be visual content by the end of 2019. Every day across the globe people upload over 2,000,000,000 photos to the internet. The newest method for standing out from the crowd is creating your own visual content that is unique to your business versus the temptation to use Stock Photography.
As AI technology advances in image interpretation, Google will begin rewarding website owners that use unique photography in their search results. Are you riding the tidal wave of visual content creating images, infographics, and videos for your business? If not, you may want to begin making unique image creation an important part of your SEO Strategy for 2019.

So excited to see my art so prevalent in another TV show. If you haven’t had the chance to watch the show Atlanta on FX, you should definitely take the time to binge the first two seasons. Though I would not consider this a kid-friendly show the writing and storylines are brilliant, funny, and honest. It definitely resonates with people from the Atl. but, it certainly resonates across the board with what folks go through in the black community on a regular basis. It was the fact that my art was in it that got me to watch it in the first place, but I will say I am now psyched for the third season. It is written, directed, produced, and stared in by the amazing Donald Glover (aka. Childish Gambino). Here is my image in Season 2 Episode 8, looking over the Seine River in France from the cathedral of Notre Dame.

Capturing a Culture
At the end of 2017 the good folks at PCNA contracted us to create “culture-defining images” for a new HR website they were building to recruit new personnel. Their team assembled sample images of the culture they wanted to show living at Porsche. We reviewed the shot list, estimated the time it would take to complete, and then worked with their personnel to create the images. They were so pleased with the images we created they made several into posters that are now hanging in the employee lounge at One Porsche Drive.
We have had the pleasure of working with some of our clients for nearly 20 years. One thing we encounter is people thinking the services we provided them years ago is all that we do today. For instance, Capridge knew Karen as a Headshot and event photographer. They did not realize she also did architectural photography and hospitality art. After photographing their management team they hired us to photograph 5 of their properties. They loved the images so much they had us turn them into artwork to hang inside of their properties. One of my favorites is this image of Highridge Centre in Macon, GA which we turned into a 36×24 Gallery Wrapped Canvas we produced in 3 days from order placement. What can we do for you – Art, Photography, Video, Branding? Let Karen Images help you perfect your public image!
We were hired by Food Service Equipment and Supplies Magazine to photograph the 4 Rivers Smokehouse located at 822 Marietta Street near the College Football Hall of Fame. The magazine was preparing the issue for their Design Excellence Awards and wanted this unique space, a BBQ Restaurant built into a Fire Station from 1915, included in the issue. As fans of old architecture and BBQ we were excited to win the assignment.
The space was modern cool and well laid out. We were asked to get all front of the house images that show off the vision created by the designers of the restaurant. The two-story space was well laid out with a small kitchen counter in the upstairs dining room, an original fire pole, ample rooftop deck along with curbside dining on their front patio. The only thing better than the BBQ is the story of how the restaurant came to be. With free parking in the back, you should definitely visit them if you love good BBQ and a true story that warms the heart.
And the best part was the compliment Karen got from the Art Director “Thanks again for the great photos. If it hadn’t been our design awards contest winner issue, I would definitely have put on the front cover”.
Rarely it seems that I have the time to work on the things I want too. I have terabyte after terabyte of images I have taken through the years that I have barely glanced at since they were downloaded out of my camera. Images from trips far away or even things close to home. I have actually taken the time over the past few days to start looking back through my many hard drives with a theme in mind, “Art for Men”. Here is a little of what I have been working on. Let me know would you consider this masculine art and could you see any of it hanging in your home or office?
We have been serving the wonderful people at Porsche since 2014. If you have not been to the Porsche Experience Center in Hapeville you are missing out on a real treat. One of the things you can do is pick up delivery of your new Porsche at the PCNA Headquarters instead of the dealership. We were contacted by the marketing department to reshoot this campaign after another photographer failed to capture the images they were needing. The time and budget were tight but we pulled off a shoot with live models and automobiles in less than 8 hours. We hope you enjoy the images and get a chance to visit our friends at Porsche soon!
