The comfort of knowing it’s handled
A wedding is a live event. There are no retakes.
Our production experience means we plan accordingly.
Multiple cameras. Redundant recording. Backup equipment. Professional audio. Experienced personnel. Detailed coordination with your planner and venue.
Every important part of the production has a contingency.
Because on your wedding day, “we’ll figure it out” isn’t an acceptable plan.
Metro Productions provides clients with wedding production that is planned without compromise.

Production Experience Beyond The Wedding Industry
Trusted When the Details Matter
Before returning to weddings, Karen and Troy spent more than two decades producing imagery, films and live events for major corporations and organizations including Porsche Cars North America, Porsche Financial Services, and the Miss America Pageant. Their photographic work has also been selected for use in major film and television productions.
That experience changed the way we approach weddings.
We don’t simply arrive with cameras.
We arrive with a production plan.
We anticipate.
We coordinate.
We protect the timeline.
We build redundancies.
And when something unexpected happens, we already know what to do.

For the People Who Made the Day Possible
Your wedding is also a milestone for your family.
We’ll photograph the moments you may not see. The pride on your father’s face before he walks you down the aisle, your mother’s reaction as she sees you for the first time, the grandparents watching from their seats, the embrace between generations.
When the flowers are gone and the champagne has been poured, these are the photographs and films your family will treasure.
That is what we’re there to preserve.
The Family Archive
Your wedding photographs aren’t simply files delivered after the reception.
They become the beginning of your family’s visual history.
We preserve the people, places, details and relationships that made the celebration meaningful—from the quiet moments before the ceremony to the embrace between generations on the dance floor.
Your photographs are curated, professionally finished and preserved as heirloom artwork with

About Us
Karen and Troy Burns began their careers photographing weddings on film.
Over the following decades, their work expanded into commercial photography, documentary filmmaking and large-scale event production for nationally recognized organizations.
They spent years producing photography, film and live events for Porsche Cars North America, Porsche Financial Services, and the 2025 Miss America Pageant.
Environments where precision, discretion and flawless execution are never optional.
Now they bring that experience back to weddings.
The result is something unusual: the artistry of an established photography studio combined with the discipline of a professional production company.
Wedding FAQ
We accept a limited number of wedding commissions each year so that every couple receives the time, planning and creative attention their celebration deserves.
Limiting our calendar allows us to approach each wedding as an individual production rather than moving from one event to the next on a high-volume schedule.
We recommend contacting us as soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed, particularly for popular dates and destination celebrations.
Because we accept a limited number of wedding commissions each year, availability can vary considerably. Your date is reserved once the commissioning process and required retainer are complete.
Yes. Every wedding is different, so our photography and cinematography commissions are built around the celebration rather than a predetermined package.
During the consultation, we discuss your wedding plans, locations, schedule, photography, cinematography, albums and any additional production requirements. From there, we create a collection appropriate for the experience you are planning.
Yes. Photography and cinematography can be commissioned together as one coordinated production.
Our photography preserves the defining moments, relationships and details of the celebration, while cinematography adds movement, voices, music and atmosphere. When created together, the two become complementary parts of the same story.
Our approach combines thoughtful portraiture, observational photography and an editorial understanding of light, composition and environment.
We provide direction when it helps create a beautiful photograph, while also knowing when to step back and allow a moment to unfold naturally. The goal is a collection that feels polished without losing the people, emotion and character of the day.
Yes. Karen Images and Metro Productions are based in Atlanta and are available for destination wedding commissions throughout the United States and internationally.
Travel requirements are incorporated into the planning and proposal so photography, cinematography, equipment and production logistics can be coordinated well before the celebration.
The size of the creative team is determined by the scale, schedule, locations and coverage requirements of your wedding.
Some celebrations can be beautifully documented by a smaller team, while larger or more complex productions may require additional photographers, cinematographers or production personnel. We recommend the team needed to cover the celebration properly rather than applying the same crew size to every wedding.
Your final deliverables are defined as part of your commissioned collection and may include professionally edited photographs, cinematic wedding films, additional film edits and handcrafted albums.
During the planning process, we establish what you would like to preserve and how you would like to experience it afterward, then build the collection accordingly.
Yes. Your wedding collection includes professionally selected and finished photographs and films, but some clients also want the original files for their personal archive.
If you would like them, we are happy to prepare and organize the files for you. Because a complete wedding archive can be quite large, the files are delivered on an appropriately sized SSD. The price for RAW files includes the cost of the drive and the preparation of the archive files.
Most clients find everything they need in their finished collection, but if preserving the original files is important to you, we will be able to provide an estimate at the end of processing and fulfillment based on the size of the archive and whether a 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB SSD is required for a safe and professional transfer of the data.
Yes. We regularly coordinate with wedding planners, venues and other members of the professional team.
Working together before the wedding allows us to understand the timeline, locations, access requirements and important production considerations while minimizing unnecessary demands on the couple and their families during the celebration.
A private wedding commission means your photography and cinematography are created specifically for your celebration rather than selected from a standardized package.
We begin by understanding the people, priorities, locations and experience you are planning. From there, we determine the creative approach, coverage and finished collection appropriate for your wedding.
It also reflects the limited number of celebrations we accept each year, allowing us to give each commission the preparation, attention and creative resources it deserves.
