About Us
Karen and Troy Burns began their careers photographing weddings on film.
Over the following decades, their work expanded into commercial photography, documentary filmmaking and large-scale event production for nationally recognized organizations.
They spent years producing photography, film and live events for Porsche Cars North America, Porsche Financial Services and the 2025 Miss America Pageant.
That work demanded precision, discretion, preparation and the ability to perform when there is no opportunity to do it again.
Now they bring that experience back to weddings.
For a couple, that means something rare. The artistry and personal attention of an established photography studio, backed by the experience and capabilities of a professional production company.

We could show you thousands of wedding photographs.
Conor and Kaylee’s wedding alone produced an archive of more than a thousand images, with hundreds brought together in their wedding album. Our wedding archive reaches back decades and includes hundreds of celebrations.
But showing you a collection of favorite photographs selected from many weddings would tell you very little about what we will create for yours.
So we chose one wedding.
Every photograph you see on this page comes from the same celebration. One couple. One family. One location. One wedding day.
It allows you to see something a portfolio of highlights cannot show you. The consistency of the work across an entire wedding commission.
We don’t need to assemble our best photographs from hundreds of weddings to show you what our work looks like.

We are currently accepting three wedding commissions for 2027.
Keeping the number of weddings we photograph and film intentionally small allows us to become personally involved in every celebration.
We take the time to know our couples and their families, understand what matters to them, work closely with their planner and creative team, and build the photography and wedding video production around the celebration they are creating.

Because we accept only a very small number of wedding commissions, availability is determined by more than whether a date is open on our calendar.

For celebrations involving multiple locations, destination travel or more extensive photography and video production, beginning that conversation early also gives us the time to plan thoughtfully with you, your wedding planner and the rest of your creative team.

Yes. Metro Productions / Karen Images is based in Atlanta, Georgia and available for destination wedding photography and cinematography throughout the United States and worldwide.
A destination wedding commission is planned around the celebration itself. We consider the locations, schedule, travel, photography, filmmakers, professional audio and production resources required to document the wedding at the level our clients expect.
For multi-day celebrations, we can also plan photography and film coverage around the events surrounding the wedding day, allowing the finished body of work to preserve more of the people, places and experiences that brought everyone together.
Destination commissions begin with a private consultation so we can understand what you are planning and determine what will be required to create it with you.
There is no predetermined crew size for a Metro Productions / Karen Images wedding commission.
During planning, we consider your venues, timeline, photography, cinematography, professional audio and the moments that need to be preserved simultaneously throughout the celebration.
From there, we determine the photographers, filmmakers and production personnel needed to create the body of work we have planned with you.
The purpose is not to bring more people than necessary. It is to have the right people in the right places at the right time, with the equipment and preparation necessary to photograph and film your wedding without asking the celebration to accommodate the production.
Your wedding comes first. We build the production around it.
Every wedding commission results in a professionally finished collection of photographs and a finished wedding film.
Your finished photographs are delivered with rights that allow you to reproduce, print and share them. They are your family photographs, and we want you to be able to preserve and enjoy them throughout your lives.
What we create beyond that is personal to you.
After the wedding, we can continue working together to consider albums, fine art prints and custom artwork created specifically for your family and your home. Nothing additional is predetermined because we have not yet had the opportunity to know you, your style or how you want this body of work to become part of your life.
Your wedding commission includes professionally finished photographs and a finished wedding film. We do not substitute unfinished RAW files for the completed work you commissioned us to create.
For clients who also want to preserve the original photography and video files as part of their personal archive, archival delivery can be arranged separately. Because these files can represent a significant amount of data, we prepare and organize the archive and provide it on appropriately sized dedicated storage.
We can discuss that option with you after your wedding, when we know the size and requirements of your complete archive.
Absolutely. We consider collaboration with your wedding planner, venue and creative team an essential part of preparing for your celebration.
